Future Kinesiologist & Exercise Physiologist
(Club Pilates, New Westminster, 2026)

I know firsthand what it is to live with physical limitations.
I took a fall skiing in high school and sustained multiple hip fractures. I lost an athletic scholarship and the possibility of competing at the Olympics. Since then, I have been in several motor vehicle accidents and had major surgeries.
Rehabilitation has shaped my outlook and experiences.
My focus is to improve functional capacity, increase healthspan and reduce (DALYs) Disability Adjusted Life Years.
I am currently a student, working towards becoming a BCAK Kinesiologist and CSEP Exercise Physiologist. I’m also pursuing multiple Certifications in Business and Marketing.
With over 25 years of experience in the Health & Fitness Industry, I possess maturity and resilience.
(Skaha Bluffs,, Penticton, 2018)

I plan to open a clinical practice & studio. In addition to clinical services, offering Pilates, Functional Strength & Conditioning, Mobility, Recovery & Yoga. (Cathedral Lakes, 2015)

Using the principles of authentic and transformative leadership, I will develop excellence in my team. Leading with purpose, passion and integrity. (Kalamalka Provincial Park, 2019)

Highlights from my 25 year career in the fitness industry including: coaching, strength & conditioning, group fitness, personal training, yoga and training workshops. (STRONG Pilates, Port Moody, 2026)

Undergraduate in Physical Education & Coaching. Currently studying to become a Registered Kinesiologist and Business Leader. (Gold’s Gym, Vancouver, 2012)

Student practicums in: Strength & Conditioning, Athletic Therapy, Kinesiology, Pilates & Yoga. (POND Performance, Penticton, 2026)

Highlights from my academic acumen in Human Kinetics and Business Leadership.
(PURE Gym, Penticton, 2025)
My 5-year plan is to operate a clinical exercise studio - offering clinical exercise programs, functional assessments, and individualized training plans. I will create an online platform, with on demand videos and services from coaches & clinicians.
I am taking a Post Degree Diploma (PDD) in Kinesiology, including two professional fieldwork placements, followed by Jurisprudence and exams to become a Registered Kinesiologist in British Columbia. Completion slated for late 2027.
I am als completing multiple Certificates in Business and Marketing to develop the technical skills for owning a studio. I plan to pair business with my passion for movement, health, and vitality.
Additionally, I am working towards a comprehensive STOTT Pilates certification (with clinical rehab applications) and NSCA Strength & Conditioning for Special Populations certification. I plan on training a team of Instructors to complement the clinical practice.

(Club Pilates, New Westminster, 2026)
Influenced by my personal experience as a young competitive athlete, I became aware of an overarching issue – a lack of understanding in managing and preventing injuries. Hence, I am educating myself to do just that.
My intention is to inspire and motivate others to be the best version of themselves, by developing a sense of purpose and a positive mindset. I plan to lead by example, fostering a culture of athleticism, camaraderie, and teamwork. My aim is to create lasting positive impacts in the lives of those I serve and work with.
Stewardship is what I aspire towards. I strive to be the kind of leader I wish I had, to lead with empathy and compassion, ensuring that every individual feels empowered to perform to the best of their ability. I believe that a shared vision, combined with high engagement and collaboration, empowers teams to achieve success.

Combining Kinesiology and Pilates is brilliant. At Orthoquest & MoveWell I’ve had the experience of learning how these practices fit together. I’m excited to dive deeper into the clinical applications of Kinesiology at Douglas College, including two Professional Practicums. These are part of the requirements in becoming a Registered Kinesiologist In British Columbia.

I love teaching Youth Strength & Conditioning. It’s rewarding and meaningful to me. The combination of Athletic Therapy and Youth Strength & Conditioning is providing me with a wealth of knowledge, resources and ideas for the future. It’s been an enriching and empowering experience.

I’ve been incredibly fortunate to be learning from seasoned Athletic Therapists, working with competitive athletes in Penticton. Including table tests, functional movement patterning, progressions & regressions. It’s the difference between performing well in the short term and consistently showing up and excelling in the long term.

Certified in STOTT Pilates, I utilize both contemporary & classical repertoire. My next steps include Cadillac, Chairs & Barrels (CCB), Pilates Strength & Conditioning and clinical applications, such as peripheral joint stabilization and fascial mobilization. Cross-country skiing is a lifelong source of enrichment and cardiovascular fitness. I was a guide for blind cross-country skiers prior to the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. In 2014 I coached at Sovereign Lakes, Silver Star Mountain Resort. (Happy Valley, Big White, 2017)

Breath is the foundation of all movement practices. I practice Yoga to train the mind & the body. I am a 500 hour RYT Yoga Teacher, with additional certifications in hot yoga, yin and aerial. This is me in King Pigeon. The hammock is a great way to access asanas, inversions, fascial release and restoration. (Penticton, 2022)
